    Erin Bode and Marco Grillo will lead a session of Marco’s time-tested jazz workshop, The Jazz Toolkit, bringing a little piece of Palermo to Tower Grove South.

    This hands-on workshop explores the fundamentals of jazz while giving participants the chance to learn and grow alongside Bode and Grillo. Bring your instrument, whatever it may be. The session is designed to be collaborative and welcoming, whether you’re just beginning your jazz journey or have years of experience.

    No tickets or reservation necessary. This event is open to the public, with a suggested donation.

    In the Spirit: Meditation Sessions

    Each month, on the 4th Saturday morning, join spiritual guide Mary Elizabeth Grimes and meditation leader Sandra J. Jackson, for a guided meditation experience at Power Creative. This session draws on God’s wisdom to create space for rest, reflection, and spiritual growth.

    Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps them relax and settle in: mat, blanket, pillows, etc. Come prepared to slow down, center yourself, and connect in a peaceful, supportive environment.

    LAST BAND ON JUPITER is a folk-rock quartet of men who, by any reasonable metric, should know better by now. Their debut album Far Worse Things is a collection of quirky, darkly humorous ballads surgically engineered to spark wonder while quietly unpacking a lifetime of undiagnosed abandonment issues. Songs like “Trade You for a Dirt Bike,” “Tonight We Dine on the Souls of Our Enemies,” and “Finger in the Pickle Jar” balance on a tightrope between wit and outright indefensibility, daring the listener to laugh before realizing they probably shouldn’t.
