THE SHOW
Music Brings Us Together is a special concert presented by Power Creative in collaboration with Arts & Faith St. Louis, celebrating the power of music to enrich our lives and bring people together. This one-of-a-kind evening features performances by Grammy Award–winning soprano Christine Brewer, as well as renowned St. Louis natives, soprano Angel Love, tenor David McKenzie, and pianist Alla Voskoboynikova. Whether you are immersed in the world of opera or new to the scene, this show is sure to impress.
THE ARTISTS
Christine Brewer, soprano:
Grammy Award-winning soprano Christine Brewer’s was named one of the top 20 sopranos of all time by BBC Music. She began her career at Opera Theatre of St. Louis and has gone on to sing with the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Paris Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the St. Louis Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, and many other opera companies and orchestras around the world.
Angel Love, soprano:
A native of Belleville, Illinois, soprano Angel Love attended DePauw University and received a Master of Music in vocal performance from UCLA where she sang leading roles in opera and was the soprano soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s Songfest for the Los Angeles Bernstein Centennial Celebration. With Opera Theatre of St. Louis, she sang the role of Papagena in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
David McKenzie, tenor:
A high school senior at Affton High School, tenor David McKenzie is a member of The Sheldon All-Star Chorus, was part of the Interfaith Youth Chorus that sang this past fall at the Interfaith Concert at the Sheldon Concert Hall, and he is a member of the Missouri All-State Honor Choir.
Alla Voskoboynikova, pianist:
Pianist Alla Voskoboynikova performs extensively as a soloist and a collaborator, often accompanying members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Since 2004, she has held the position of Director of Keyboard Studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Before moving to the United States, Alla was a pianist and coach at Kyiv Opera and Ball.et Theater in Ukraine and an accompanist at the Tchaikovsky Competition.
THE SPACE
The WEvent Space is a distinctive venue located in the heart of the Tower Grove South neighborhood, set within a beautifully restored church. Embracing the spirit of its historic roots, the space provides a laid-back, welcoming setting for a wide array of local live acts. Central to its mission is the WEConcert Series—an ongoing effort to reestablish the former church as a vibrant hub and gathering place for the community. Through music, art, and connection, WEvent Space invites all to be part of a shared creative experience in one of the neighborhood’s most unique venues.

Will there be food and drink available at the event?
Yes, we have a small bar in-house offering a variety beverages and snacks.
What is the parking situation?
We have a small private parking lot on Humphry, just West of the main building, and plenty of free street parking around us.

Is the WEvent Space available to rent for private parties or special occasions?
