SHARE YOUR STORY
Art has a unique way of bringing people together. A painting sparks conversation, a photograph awakens a shared memory, and a song reveals unexpected connections. Through creativity, we discover that our stories are often more alike than we realize.
That’s the spirit behind our gallery. We believe every wall can become a place for connection, curiosity, and community.
We invite artists of every background and experience—from seasoned professionals to first-time exhibitors, from poets and painters to photographers, sculptors, and makers—to share their work with us. Our goal is to create an inclusive, welcoming space where artists feel supported, celebrated, and encouraged to grow while connecting with a community that values creativity and the stories it tells.

Biography:
Multimedia artist, James Ibur, is based in St. Louis, Missouri. He has shown his ceramics and mixed-media work nationally for over thirty-five years and is in a number of prominent collections. His new ceramics offer unconventional approaches to vessel making, painting and sculpture.
Artist statement:
My 2D and 3D works connect iconic forms where the protagonist, often the bearded king—part airplane, part road—is on a journey that is often “leaving” or “arriving.” He finds himself in unlikely landscapes of caves, mountains, oceans and stormy and perfect blue skies that suggest complex narratives. Water, falling figures, clouds that eat each other and spaceships are all vehicles for magical interactions that reference the unknown.
Both mysterious and playful, my work asks the viewer to consider a variety of ideas that range from the natural biological/archaeological worlds of roots and fossils to references of human physiology to the complexity of electronic wiring that infrastructures our world. There is a meditative quality to these paintings and ceramic objects that are meant to create a window to my inner world. My work wishes to present dynamic quiet and provocative centeredness to an increasingly off-balanced world.
Artist Statement:

Artist Statement:
I believe it’s important to be observant and a good listener so you can fully digest the environment, experiences and people around you.
Every day, in some way, we all react to the world around us. If you carry a sketchbook, you can capture a slice of that reaction. In a sketchbook, you have the power to edit the world. This is a quote I strongly agree with. It has been a valued practice throughout my life. As I look through my sketchbooks, I recall my life, experiences and inspirations.
Nature is my constant inspiration. Mother Nature is the true artist. I strive to interpret nature and create the raw, impactful and powerful elements she provides.
This current body of work consists of vessels inspired by coral reefs. Each vessel is unique and sculptural. Botanicals have been infused into some of the vessels that would complement a dining table or a welcoming piece in a foyer.
All firing is atmospheric. Wood, soda, smoke and ash provide a surprising gift every time. These are gifts from Mother Nature. Man does not have control. It is nature that is the true artist.Throughout my life, I have been given a gift. It is the willingness to try new things and understand that learning comes through successes and failures. There is greater value in creating objects that are imperfectly perfect. When I was younger I had the luxury of making with both hands. Today I am a one handed potter. The life lessons through this experience has been raw, emotional and frustrating, but healing and restorative!
I have been so fortunate in my life to meet rare and special people. My most precious possession is the personal relationships I have with my loved ones, friends, mentors, colleagues and fellow potters. I happen to make pots but as a life long teacher and student, I believe helping people find their pathways is the ultimate goal. We do this for each other. Personal investment never wears out. It keeps people going. It keeps me going!

PAST SHOWS
Danny Bess: The Past in Motion
Artist Statement:
I explore color, movement, velocity, and time within my paintings–looking for color relationships and impactful brush marks to imply speed and capture an energetic art making process as if my paintbrush is keeping tempo and my color selections are musical notes. I believe that Music and Art are two sides of a creative coin, one side stimulating our sight, while the other side of the coin satisfies our ears.
The subject of my paintings are friends, family members, and inspiring artists; they represent the grand staff of a musical score. They are the foundation for my paintbrush to dance across the page. In many ways music can be freer than an image, it’s not bound by space, a canvas, or a computer monitor.
The goal is to emulate music visually, I never reject any mark I make while painting; I accept them all. Through this acceptance, I hope to find something that is representational in the portrait I paint, but executed with the non-representational freedom of music.

Daniel Guy Hast: Paintings
Biography:
Daniel Guy Hast is a St. Louis-based artist whose work explores the intersection of disciplined structure and vibrant, emotive color. Since beginning his dedicated artistic journey three years ago, he has developed a style that prioritizes bold visual impact and technical sincerity.
Artistic Inspiration & Technique:
Daniel’s work is heavily influenced by the Post-Impressionist Masters, specifically the expressive brushwork and luminous color palettes of Vincent van Gogh. He is drawn to the way color can be used not just to depict a subject, but to convey a specific energy or state of being.
Technically, his work is characterized by the use of encaustic methods—a specialized process involving the melting of wax—which he integrates with acrylics to create rich, multi-dimensional surfaces. This approach allows him to experiment with texture and light, seeking to capture the “vibration” of a scene through layers of depth and translucency.
Artist Statement:
Art is a continuation of my lifelong commitment to discipline and exploration. Whether I am navigating the depths of the ocean or the complexities of a canvas, my goal is to uncover the underlying strength and vibrancy in my surroundings. I strive to create work that feels both grounded and alive.
Alicia Jackson: Paintings
Biography:
Alicia Jackson is an interdisciplinary artist, facilitator, and experience designer whose work explores the transformative power of being truly seen.
Drawing from her own experiences of loss and personal transformation, she creates paintings, immersive installations, and participatory experiences that invite viewers to move beyond judgment and into curiosity. Her work serves as a mirror that helps people recognize themselves with compassion and a window into the stories of others.
Artist Statement:
I do not paint people. I paint what it feels like to be human, and to be seen. I paint what happens when silence gives way to hope. I paint the moment someone begins to remember who they are. My work exists to remember the humanity in ourselves and in each other. My hope is that the viewer asks “What story might I not know? What pain might exist beneath what I first see? What would change if I approached this person, or myself, with curiosity instead of certainty?” Whether through paintings, public installations, or immersive experiences, my hope is that people leave feeling a little more understood. A little less alone. And a little more capable of seeing the world through compassion instead of separation. Because when people learn to truly see, they become much harder to divide.

“Unseen” – Oil and Mixed Media
Teresa McAfee: Paintings
Biography:
Teresa McAfee is a visual artist based in Radcliff, Kentucky, whose work emphasizes the everyday presence and individuality of Black women. Born in Indiana and raised across California, Alaska, and Kentucky, McAfee draws inspiration from the beauty, style, humor, and creative influence of Black women in contemporary culture. Her paintings begin with AI-generated images, which she reinterprets with acrylics and mixed media in a painterly, pop-art-inspired style. Working mainly with pencil and acrylic.
McAfee combines precise drawing with expressive color and texture. Some of her works incorporate additional hair elements to create a more tactile, dimensional surface. McAfee’s art highlights moments of ordinary life—laughing, resting, looking away, or simply being present. Instead of depicting her subjects as symbols of strength or struggle, she seeks to capture authentic states of being. Her visual language draws from photography, comics, and pop art, while intentionally leaving space for Black women to appear fully themselves without explanation or performance.
Although she studied drawing for 2.5 years at the University of Louisville, McAfee’s practice has largely evolved through self-guided experimentation and repetition. This exhibition marks the beginning of her public artistic journey, reflecting years of silent exploration and a commitment to portraying Black women with honesty, dignity, and freedom.
Megan Jung: Fruit of the Spirit
Biography:
Megan Jung is a graphic artist, creative entrepreneur, and community builder based in St. Louis, Missouri. She is the founder and principal of Power Creative, a mission-driven marketing agency and neighborhood-centered event and community space dedicated to fostering connection, creativity, and positive social impact.
Now in her second season, Jung has embraced a purpose rooted in liberation—both her own and that of marginalized communities. Through her work, she explores themes of identity, healing, spirituality, transformation, and belonging. Her artistic practice serves as both a personal journey and an invitation for others to reflect on their own paths toward freedom and self-discovery.
Artist Statement:
Her current body of work, “Fruit of the Spirit,” draws inspiration from the intersections of faith, personal growth, and everyday experience. The series features vibrant depictions of fruits and other foods that symbolize meaningful moments and turning points along her spiritual journey. Through rich color, playful imagery, and layered symbolism, Jung invites viewers to consider nourishment in its many forms—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and to reflect on the experiences that cultivate growth, resilience, and transformation in their own lives.
