A native of North St. Louis\, Bobby began his storytelling career at the St. Louis Storytelling Festival in 1979 and went on to host the Emmy-winning CBS series Gator Tales. His energetic performances blend humor\, animation\, sound effects\, and expressive storytelling to engage audiences of all ages. \n\n\n\nBeverley Brennan is a celebrated humorist\, storyteller\, singer\, writer\, and director known for performances that are both poignant and laugh-out-loud funny. She served as Director of Speech and Theatre at Harris-Stowe State University for 22 years and spent 20 years working in St. Louis Public Schools. An accomplished educator and performer\, Beverley brings her engaging\, animated\, and creative storytelling style to audiences of all ages. \n\n\n\nKen Haller is a St. Louis-based actor\, writer\, director\, pediatrician\, teacher\, activist\, and advocate. He has performed in New York\, Chicago\, and St. Louis\, including his own short play Surprise! at the annual Briefs festival. He has created and performed three acclaimed cabaret shows and was named Best Cabaret Performer in St. Louis in 2015. Ken has also directed cabaret productions for other performers and served as President of PROMO\, Missouri’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization. \n\n\n\nSherry Norfolk is an internationally acclaimed storyteller\, teaching artist\, workshop leader\, consultant\, and keynote speaker. These works are best seen in person. \n\n\n\nIn addition to displaying his artwork\, Bess will be performing on piano\, accompanied by an entourage of local musicians. \n\n\n\nTHE ARTIST\n\n\n\nDanny Bess was born in Saint Louis Missouri\, introduced to music and art at a young age\, and encouraged to explore his creativity early on in life. Danny’s Great Grandfather Eddie Prinz was a portrait painter and saxophonist through the great depression\, his Grandmother Johanna Prinz was a mixed media artist\, and his grandfather Danny Schweiss was a landscape painter. And so\, Danny claims to come from a long line of creative individuals. He met my wife Elise in 2005 and they set out to start a life together\, she has been an inspiration for him ever since. While Danny held on to his passion for making art through young adulthood\, he also worked on making deep connections with people throughout life. It is in these connections with other people that Danny explores art and music as an adult. \n\n\n\nArtist’s Website \n\n\n\nTHE SPACE\n\n\n\nThe WEvent Space is a distinctive venue located in the heart of the Tower Grove South neighborhood\, set within a beautifully restored church.
