Show starts at 7. \n\n\n\nTHE ARTISTS\n\n\n\nKala Dunn is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a background in both classical and jazz traditions. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy\, where she studied flute\, she later earned her degree in piano performance summa cum laude from Murray State University\, performing as a soloist in works including Rhapsody in Blue and the Grieg Piano Concerto. Kala has recorded jazz standards as a vocalist with the Todd Hill Orchestra and Quintet and continues to perform as a flutist with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra. Now based in St. Louis\, she is an active presence in the regional arts community and works in Advancement at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. \n\n\n\nEmerson Magaña is a vocalist and guitarist known for his warm stage presence and rich Latin sound. Classically trained at the Institute of Fine Arts of the State of Colima\, Mexico he now calls St. Louis home\, where he has performed in renowned venues and performs regularly and collaborates with a wide range of musicians. \n\n\n\nTogether\, this the duo creates a captivating blend of Bossa Nova\, Jazz standards\, Classical and Global influences. \n\n\n\nTHE SPACE\n\n\n\nThe WEvent Space is a distinctive venue located in the heart of the Tower Grove South neighborhood\, set within a beautifully restored church. Embracing the spirit of its historic roots\, the space provides a laid-back\, welcoming setting for a wide array of local live acts. Central to its mission is the WEConcert Series—an ongoing effort to reestablish the former church as a vibrant hub and gathering place for the community.
