THE SHOW
Join us for the opening of our September Exhibition, featuring the artworks of new and emerging local artists: Theo Rezak, Zoe Martin, and Jesse Lopez.
Their work will be on display throughout the month, but opening night is your chance to meet the artists, hear the stories behind their work, and share in the excitement of discovering fresh local talent. Come celebrate the artists, support our creative community, and experience new voices shaping St. Louis’ art scene.
THE ARTIST
Theo Rezak (TheoBix) is a queer artist who is currently studying as a student artist at Florissant Valley Community College. His artwork has been showcased at the campus multiple times as well as being posted on his socials under the tag ‘@theobix’. He’s mostly passionate about the stories he writes for the characters he draws up for his future comics and mangas, diving into topics such as purpose, choice, high powers, and more. During his free time he trends to binge music while he writes and creates, specializing in character art and abstract works.
Zoe Martin is an artist and ceramicist currently studying at St. Louis Community College’s Meramec campus. Their work crosses disciplines, exploring form, movement, and color in both paint and ceramic sculpture.
Jesse Lopez is a St. Louis–area artist whose vibrant acrylic abstracts explore the energy, movement, and unexpected beauty of color and texture. A lifelong musician and career personal trainer, Jesse chose to turn his creative energy toward visual art after the onset of Parkinson’s disease. Although relatively new to fluid art, he quickly discovered a natural connection to its expressive, intuitive process, embracing the freedom of letting colors flow, interact, and take on a life of their own. His work reflects a lifelong creative spirit and an invitation to simply follow the color and see where it leads.
THE SPACE
The WEvent Space is a distinctive venue located in the heart of the Tower Grove South neighborhood, set within a beautifully restored church. Embracing the spirit of its historic roots, the space provides a laid-back, welcoming setting for a wide array of local live acts. Central to its mission is the WEConcert Series—an ongoing effort to reestablish the former church as a vibrant hub and gathering place for the community. Through music, art, and connection, WEvent Space invites all to be part of a shared creative experience in one of the neighborhood’s most unique venues.

Will there be drinks available at the event?
Yes, we have a small bar in-house offering a variety of beverages.
What is the parking situation?
We have a small private parking lot on Humphry, just West of the main building, and plenty of free street parking around us.
Is there an easy way to keep up with all of the concerts at the WEvent Space?

Is the WEvent Space available to rent for private parties or special occasions?
